Why is understanding our identity as followers of Jesus important? Our view of our identity impacts our beliefs, our character, our behaviors, and our view of others. If we do not understand our identity as followers of Jesus (as his disciples), it will cause us to believe things about God and about ourselves that are not true. It will also affect how we treat others. God’s word tells us when we become a follower of Jesus that it actually changes our identity from the inside out. One of these very important changes is that we become God's sons and daughters in his family. This should especially shape our perspective.  In this study, we will look at who God says we are. As his people, let’s see and hear what he says about our identity.
